Recipes & Notes, by Colt Platform
Save recipes from anywhere, cook them step by step and ask questions as you go. Recipes & Notes keeps your recipes, shopping lists and kitchen notes together on your iPhone.
In private testing, on the App Store December 2026.
Testing is by invitation through Apple's TestFlight. There is no public download yet.
Everything on this page works in the build our testers use now.
01
Paste a link, paste the text of a recipe or open a text file. Recipes & Notes picks out the ingredients and steps, using AI to help with untidy pages, and shows you the result to check and edit before it is saved.
02
Cooking mode takes you through a recipe one step at a time. Start a timer on any step and add or take away a minute as you go.
03
Ask the AI cooking assistant about the recipe in front of you: a swap for an ingredient you are missing, how a technique works, or what to do next. Its answers are suggestions, so use your own judgement, especially for food safety and allergies.
04
Add a recipe's ingredients to your shopping list, add your own items, or paste in a list you already have.
05
The Notes tab holds what is not a recipe: a pantry inventory, ideas for the week, a list to take to the shops.
06
Start without signing up. Your recipes, notes and lists are kept on your iPhone and work offline. Sign in when you want them backed up and kept in sync across your devices.
